COVID-19 UPDATE
To our Merchants & Partners,
Like the rest of the world, we have been learning about and monitoring the information on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting businesses all around our communities. At this time, we are running business as usual. At Source One Payment Solutions, we are committed to make sure you have any new information that may assist during this time. If there are any operational updates or changes, we will make sure to update our Merchants and Partners as soon as we have that information available to us.
As Merchants and Business Owners, there is a big responsibility for each of us to do our part in slowing down the spread of COVID-19 while maintaining calm and following any directions from our health officials. Keeping our Merchants and their customers safe has been a primary concern that the leadership team has been discussing over the last several days.
With that in mind, we have a list of precautions and steps that you can take to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep your business and employees safe. We are closely following the CDC's guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. Here is a list of steps that you can implement at your business or place of work:
Practice hand hygiene frequently and require your employees to do the same: Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Practice routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces with cleaning spray or wipes: including CREDIT CARD TERMINALS, PIN PADS, STYLUS, tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, keyboards, mouse, Mobile Device
Be sure to unplug your terminal from the power before wiping it down. Do NOT unplug your Pin Pad from the terminal with the Power turned ON.
Encourage customers to use Contactless: If your terminal has the capability, encourage your customers to pay using Contactless methods such as ApplePay, GooglePay, or NFC cards. You may even request FREE signage displaying that you accept Contactless payments.
Disinfect surfaces that may be contaminated with germs after cleaning: A list of products with EPA-approved emerging viral pathogens claims is available at https://www.epa.gov/sites/production/files/2020-03/documents/sars-cov-2-list_03-03-2020.pdfpdf iconexternal icon. Products with EPA-approved emerging viral pathogens claims are expected to be effective against the virus that causes COVID-19 based on data for harder to kill viruses. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for all cleaning and disinfection products (e.g., concentration, application method and contact time, use of personal protective equipment).
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and make any necessary adjustments to make sure there is minimal impact on both your business and our Operations. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
Have a wonderful day.
Stay Safe & Stay Healthy!
Thank You,
Drew Martinez
